We offer a state-of-the-art
medical approach to
Stop Smoking.
Our
new approach is not new at all... it has helped others for years. What's
new is that Dr. Davies combines
personalized quit-smoking coaching and guidance along with Low Level
Laser Therapy (LLLT). Although this therapy is new to our facility,
LLLT has
been used in Canada, Europe and Asia for over fifteen years to produce
dramatic results.
What
Laser Treatment Does To Help You Stop Smoking
-
Stimulates the body's natural ability to detoxify & purge the nicotine,
getting
the ex-smoker through the uncomfortable, but critical first 72 hours
of withdrawal.
- Helps
to reduce nicotine craving and withdrawal symptoms over time.
- May
be used as an appetite suppressant to avoid the common complaint
of weight gain when the patient stops smoking.
How Does It Work
Through
a non-invasive and painless process of treating "acupuncture points" around the
nose, ears and wrists, a low level or cold laser penetrates the tissue
and initiates a process called photo-biostimulation. This process causes
certain chemicals called endorphins to be released throughout the body.
Endorphins, the body's natural pain killers and tranquilizers, have
a calming, relaxing effect on the body that helps to reduce nicotine
craving and withdrawal symptoms.
The
laser is directed at points involved with cravings, withdrawal, anxiety, as
well as a number of appetite suppression points that prevent the transfer
of addiction to food, overeating, and gaining weight. Additionally,
these low-level laser treatments calm, and relax the mind, reducing anxiety
and alleviating depressive feelings, making it easier to cope with
the addiction withdrawal symptoms and cravings, that arise from giving
up nicotine.
